Dialogue Series: How Are We Doing? Progress, Bright Spots and Work to Do.

2012 is a time for critical reflection and sober thought about the value of the arts to civic life, the role of artists in our city and the possibilities for the arts sector’s future. Calgary Arts Development’s goal is to work with citizens and artists to craft a bold and integrated plan that sets clear long-term targets for the resources and partnerships necessary to support a thriving arts sector in Calgary. For more background about Calgary Arts Development’s 2012 plans, read our 2012 Strategic Plan Summary.

Our first outcome this year is to produce a report on the “Current State of the Arts” for May 2012. In the coming weeks we ask for two hours of your time to talk about how we are doing, to share your your bright spots and where you want to go next. We’ve organized a Dialogue Series: Current State of the Arts for disciplines and sub groups in our sector, so please RSVP and join us!
